Ooooh! I am SO loving this fall season! Pumpkins are just great! I saw something similar to this in a super expensive shop.... I just thought Hey?! Georgina could easily make those for 99p! So that she did, Ha! That pumpkin was 99p.... I already have a pack of 100 tealights which were only £2.99. So, yeah! Did well for myself here. I love the way it looks. Naw! Just carve out a circle in the top of your pumpkin that is just the same size as the base of your tealight... and it will slot in nicely!

Colourful Acorns!

I have a load of felt balls hanging around in my craft room that I got from ages ago. Time to make something for Fall out of them me thinks!

You will need:

Acorn Heads

Felt balls or make your own (http://paintedthreadsprojects.blogspot.com/2008/10/making-felted-balls.html)

Glue gun!

1. This is where some little children would come in very handy! Go find lots and lots of acorns. Take the green plant thingy out of the shell.

2.Glue gun the ball into the acorn heads. Some will fit just so, which is really handy!

3. Make lots and lots of them! You could put them in a jam jar, you could put them in a bowl, you could display them one by one on a shelf.... the possibilities are endless! Ha!

Mushroom Pencil Toppers

I just made this... it was really easy. Used my glue gun to put it all together and they are pearls of an old bracelet!

Pumpkin Love!

Pumpkins are sooo cute!!! I haven't really ever decorate my house for fall before *gasp* but you will let me off because it's only my second fall whilst actually having my own home to decorate. I thought it was just christmas decor *even deeper gasp*.  Soooo seeming as everyone else seems to have gone fall crazy and their ideas are just so cute... I had to have a go. I love Autumn alot, I love the colours, I love the weather, I love the leaves, I love the scarves... ooooh I just love it! So here are my lil pumpkins!

You will need:

Orange fabric

Quirky stick

Stuffing of some kind (i used balls of fabric for some and cotton wool for others)

Needle and Thread (dont worry not too much sewing involved)

Scissors

Two Rubber bands or hair ties!

1. Fold your fabric together, right side in, and sew closed as neat or as scruffy as you like. There. That's all you need your needle and thread for!

2. Place stick inside top opening and seal with a rubber band. Most of your stick should be inside the fabric as this will be the stem.

3.Turn this inside out and fill with stuffing. Be sure to stuff it up at the top to make it a nice shape.

4. Once you are happy with the shape secure it with the other band and chop off the excess fabric. Then push the little stub into the fabric so it sits nicely on a flat surface!

How easy was that... yup I went a little mad and made loads. Also made that little decor at the back it says Fall on the bunting!

Faux Letters

LETTERS! They are everywhere! They are on stands, they are on wall hangings, they are in frames. They add such a homely feel to any room. I love them! I already have quittttte a few,  ha!  Here's my wee lil collection!

Arron got me these for our first xmas together... they had some on our honeymoon and i reaaaaally wanted them!

My lil sis got me these... LOVE THEM!

I got these from a little boutique in a nearby village!

People seem to be making their own wooden ones... So I knew he needed a cheap crafty way to make some... and I came up with these:

You will need:

Glue gun!

Fabric

Cardboard

Scissors

 1. Write out your letters onto the cardboard.... I'd reccomend doing it with a ruler so they are nice and straight.

2. Cut out the fabric roughly half an inch around each letter.

3. Glue your fabric letters onto the cardboard and tuck the excess neatly around the back!

Lovely!

Owl Needle Case

Haha! I'm going a little crazy about owls now! I made this to go with my Owl Scissors.

I think it's fairly self explanatory again... any questions just comment below!!

Owl Scissors!

Ahhh now these are mega cute! Ha! This lovely little fellow can take care of my scissors for me now!

You will need:
Red, green, white, and black felt
Denim
Pen
Glue Gun
Fabric

I think the picture is pretty self explanatory. Just cut out the different pieces and use a glue gun to put them all together.

P.S.  If you have a pair of googly eyes... it would look really cute!

Towel Robe!

Ooooh I love this! It's going to be sooo useful :D  It's so pretty!! Best get this tut done quick so that I can hurry up and have a shower and use it ha!

You will need:

Glue gun!

Towel that fits around you

Fabric scraps

Needle & Thread

Scissors

Elastic

Big Button

Pins

1. First you will need to take the long side of the top of your towel, fold it over by an inch and pin it!

2. Take your elastic and wrap it around your chest. Cut it at the point where the two ends meet. Thread your elastic through the casing at the top of your towel that you just made with a large safety pin like the above.

3. Sew the elastic at both ends of the towel. Now, take your towel and wrap it around you. Find where the end of the towel meets your right side and make a  mark on the inside of the top layer.

4. Sew your big button where you want the towel to be held. Cut a button hole on the other side so that when the towel is on it holds perfectly.

5. Sew along the casing taking the pins out as you go. Your robe is now done... I added some flowers for decor. I just got long strips of white fabric, twirled them, started rolling them and put a dab of glue from the gun as I went along.

Love Map!

Hey! When I saw this: http://minimozblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/love-map.html I reaaaaaally wanted to make one for me and Arron. The only thing is I had no frames! So off I went to the car boot sale and found a really nice long gold frame... for 50p!! Ha! Just love car boot sales!!  Our bedroom colours are burgundy, brown, and gold... so it fits really well. So I got home and I was like DAH - DAH - DAAAAHN! I forgot to buy a map of our area. Oh, Georgina!! But not to worry, Google Maps! Why didn't i think of that before?! It's quite funny because where we met was right in the centre of town... and we got married right in the middle of nowhere... so where we met is the most interesting picture Ha! Anyway, I also wanted to involve some burlap, and I think it fits nicely. I actually took the picture in the bathroom... as I do all my work at night and it seems to be the only room with decent lights!! So, here it is!!!

Glittery Lanterns

Hey you guys!!! Can I just say how glad I am to have 3 new followers... I hope you enjoy it here!! :D

Today I went out to buy some glittery card to make these lovely lanterns! It was only £2 for 10 sheets.... not that great i know, but I have had this idea for ages so I wanted them to look as good as poss! Instead you could just get a white piece of card and get your glitter shakers to work!

 You will need:

Glittery card - posh or not posh

Glue gun!

Tissue paper

Jar of any size

Tealight candle

Scissors

Ruler Pencil

Crafting Knife

1. First you will need to select the jar that you will put your tealight in. If you want a mini lantern... use a baby food jar... mine is average so I just used  Jam jar. Then you want to wrap your sparkly card around your jar and then give about 3cm and snip it off. Then make another snip up the side of the height of the jar giving another 3cm.

2. Next you want to make it to fold into four... so do the maths. Mine was 30cm long so 30 divided by four is 7.5. At every 7.5cm make a little mark with your pencil. Then fold them neatly so it looks like the above! Get your tissue paper and cut out exactly the same shape as you have just made with your glittery card.

3. Next cut out the pattern you want to shine through with a crafting knife. I wanted a star and 'LOVE' written on mine.  Now you can glue your tissue paper behind the card. Looking good?!! Now glue along the two ends and join them together!

4. Put your jar inside the case and put a tealight candle inside.


Light it.... and....

Aaaah it's lovely!!

His & Hers Sillhouette Pillows

I have been wanting to do these for a long while now! But alas! A creative idea has become a lovely feature of our home.

Just draw yours and his silhouettes on your main features and cut them onto fabric. You can either glue them on or you can sew them on. They look fab!!

We've sort of developed our own 'sides' of the couch, so the beard is on his side and the lovely hair is on mine. I really like Arron's 'side' better, because it has the side table...but I let him have it anyway! Ha!

Satin Poppy Head Band

Hey guys! I am in love with my new headband, i saw one similar in a shop and straight away went and bought some tiny black beads... that's not very me to go buy stuff for a craft... but I really liked this!  In the shop it was £10... I am so stingy :P 

So here's the tut:

You will need:

Red satin or silk 

Headband or hair clip 

tiny black beads

Candle or flame of some kind

GLUEGUN!!

1. Now then, seeming as I had already splashed out £1.50 for the beads, I certainly was NOT going to buy new fabric! This satin is actually a sample we got from my bridesmaids' dresses. Nawww aint they beautiful?!

So cut out three circles, slightly getting bigger in size.

2. Now then, this is the clever bit, light your candle and go around the edges of the satin and it should start to go black, dont go in the flame just right next to it. Take it all the way around. Try different positions of holding them to see how you can get it to curl up. The only way it worked for me was to go around after I had done it once at a slight angle. If you aren't happy with the sizing then take a bit more off with your flame. I wanted mine to be three different sizes so I spent a minute or so just letting them get smaller on the flame. When you are happy glue them all together.

3. Then put a blob of glue in the middle of the top one and sprinkle your beads all over it. When the glue has solidified then shake it so all the loose beads come off. Then, either to a head band or to a hair clip or to a bobby pin... actually to anything, glue it on.

It's sooo pretty! I haven't stopped wearing it!

Satin Pearl Rose Head Band

Helloooo! Tonight I have been busying myself with this. I wanted to funk up my headbands... you see I made a wee little mistake. I hadnt seen some friends in quite a while... and wanting to make a good impression I decided to tidy up my fringe. Now, what I did was the total opposite. Completely lopsided half way up my fore head kind of mistake. Oh well I am no natural in hairdressing. So i have been covering this blip for about two months... till its actually long enough to be able to look decent when it is all leveled out by someone who has been learning to cut fringes for 4 years :P I got 4 plain headbands for £1 at Primark... BARGAIN!! So here's how I did it:

What you will need:
Beads of some sort, I used pearls
GLUE GUN!!
Fabric
Seriously boring head band.

1. Get a long strip of fabric, twist it and then roll it, gradually adding glue sot that it doesnt unravel. It should start to look something like a Fruit Winder! :P Then for added measure stick a lil bead in the middle.

2. Glue them to your headband! Voila!

Old Book Letters

I made these for my friends Michelle and Kevin. She loves all things crafty and I wanted just be kind!!! All you need to do is get a piece of cardboard and cut it into the shapes you want. Then get lots of old book pages and glue them on. Then cut out the letter of each of yours' initials on and just gloss it over with some PVA glue... Americans seem to call it Mod Podge?! Then tie a ribbon to the back and hang it proudly in one of your favourite rooms!
